About GatheredFolk

Welcome to GatheredFolk

GatheredFolk brings every part of your creative process together in one place. Design stitch charts, organize your pattern library, track projects, write patterns, get real-time help from Purl, and gather with fellow makers in The Gathering, our community space. Thoughtfully built to help you spend less time searching and more time creating.

Everything you need

Pixel Charts — build colorwork and pixel designs on an interactive grid. Save your designs and reference them anywhere in the app.

PDF Library — upload and organize all your PDF patterns in one calm place. Everything accessible — never lose a pattern again.

Pattern Writer — a flexible space for writing patterns, organizing ideas, and refining your work with Purl.

Patterns & Charts — turn any pattern into a personalized workspace with progress tracking, notes, and custom sections.

Purl — your optional AI crafting companion. She can read and interpret the details in your written patterns, see and explain charts and pixel charts, and share the basics of knitting & crochet. She becomes available as soon as you start tracking a pattern or chart, or start writing one — look for her tab alongside your tracker or editor. Enable or disable Purl at any time from your home page.

The Gathering — a community space for knitters and crocheters. Share your work, connect with fellow makers, and join knit-alongs.

Behind Gatheredfolk

Alexis dreamed up GatheredFolk after years of juggling projects across notebooks, PDFs, screenshots, and half-finished ideas. She wanted one thoughtful place where knitters and crocheters could create, organize, and enjoy the process without hopping between countless apps. Every feature begins with a question she once asked herself while making.

Jake is the engineer behind the experience. He transformed that vision into GatheredFolk, thoughtfully building everything from the interactive stitch grid to Purl, our AI crafting companion. Every detail is designed to quietly support your creativity, so you can spend less time managing your tools and more time making.

The Meaning Behind Gatheredfolk

Gathered speaks to the things we collect along the way:

  • patterns saved for later
  • projects in progress
  • ideas waiting to be started
  • skills learned over time

Folk is about the people behind the projects. The knitters, crocheters, makers, and creators who bring every stitch to life.

Together, Gatheredfolk is a place where patterns, projects, and people come together.
